Watching K dramas was not my thing until one of my college friends introduced it to me. Descendants of the Sun was the first drama I watched, making me want more. 100 Days My Prince was a Korean drama that opened me up about the culture of South Korea. It is a historical drama, and I learned about their traditional wear and manners. But even if some parts are not applicable today, it made me realise that the country has already gone through so much that they keep improving through the years. If you also start watching the same genre, you might also have the same understanding.
3. KOREAN DRAMA IMPROVED MY FASHION SENSE
Because of watching Korean dramas, I noticed that my fashion sense also improved. I became more open to different colours and clothing styles that matched various events. But even if people stay in their homes, you will see them checking the clothes their favourite actors modelled. Korean fashion also became known in Singapore because of Korean dramas and K-pop.
4. KOREAN DRAMA INTRODUCED ME TO K-POP
If there is one thing I will always be thankful for, it is when Korean dramas introduced me to K-pop. Descendants of the Sun gave people the soundtrack of 2017, making me a fan of EXO through Chen.
